This means this group is dead. I'm really sad to leave this group behind as it was the one and only thing keeping me on DA. The Discord group will remain active. I'm hoping down the road I can recreate this group on another art site. Right now it's possible Sheezy.Art will do clubs down the road. FEB - Who's Open? Commissions, Requests, YCHs

Here you can find all the artists open for commissions or people looking to buy art! Post here your commissions, request, Your Character Here (YCH), or anything your selling. Also, check out our group's Discord! discord.gg/zRnYHBG Come chat with some of the greatest merman artists this group has to offer! Commissions: Please post your prices here by ether link or thumbnail to your price sheet or price journal. I suggest posting thumbnails of your work as examples of what you do. Requests: Please tell what you are looking for and how much you would like to spend. All requests will be featured in the comments. YCH: Post a link or the thumbnail to the YCH image(s). I suggest showing some completed YCHs to show what the end results may look like. Tip: Being that this is a Merman group. There is a high interest in Men and Merfolk. Showing some samples of guys and/or Merfolk might be a good thing.

This is a group for Mermen fans! We are here to share our love of mermen! This group is focused art original artwork, fanart, and we love OCs!

Rules and Guidelines!

MER-MEN ONLY!! (NO FEMALES!) - Exception: Women can be submitted if she is with a guy.
Must be one part fish and one part human. Humans with the ability to breath underwater do not count, Sorry Aquaman. We also don't accept reverse merfolk (fish head/human legs)
Mermen that transform to human or female, we only accept the male merfolk forms. We accept trans mermen!
Please do not spam the folders. We puffer 3 or 4 a day over all folders. We'll accept them slower if we see more.
We allow mature content. Please make sure your arts are properly marked.
Welcome to all levels of art quality. All mermen drawings are loved.
We don't accept: doll maker art, base art, YCH line/sketches, edited screenshots/official art, or AI generated images. We do allow line art or sketches. Photographs must be SFW and meant for reference.
We have a monthly journal for advertising commissions, Requests, and YCHs. YCHs should not be submitted to the DA Things folder or anywhere. Completed YCHs can be submitted to the appropriate folder.

What is a merman? (Defined by the group)

Basic: Merman is a male that is part water creature, part human.

A mermen's water creature part is defined by: a creature that spends most of its time in the water. Usually, mermen are part fish, but we are open to other creatures of the waters such as tadpoles, alligators, and seals.

Creatures that are excluded:

Snakes for they are more related to Nagas and you can find other groups for them.
Inklings from Splatoon. By definition of the game, they are land creatures that turn into squids in water.

Mer-Santa Art Exchange - Sign-ups in November. Substitutions during December.

If you are hosting a merman related cash prize contest, our group would love to help promote it! I will make a journal announcement about the contest and add the winning art to the Featured Folder. This group gets lots of traffic and has helped out the contests in the past. If you would like the group to promote your cash prize contest, send the group a Note!
