Chapter 40: At Wit’s End
Doctor Kaiser leans on the wall with his arms crossed as his predator-like eyes leered through his glasses at the files that lay on the table. Another scientist nervously fiddles with her notes, fearing that Nigel will snap her head off the very second she opens her mouth, while Keith clinks around with his old butterfly knife, completely calm and collected.
Nigel paces around the room, his eyes full of silent rage as he glances at the surveillance screens. Brimming with frustration and anger, each sight of Adam turning in his sleep, or Merrick looming in his tank, brings him nothing but white-hot fury.
“Well,” Kaiser said softly, “This is getting us nowhere.”
“…” Nigel stopped in his tracks as he looked at the various X-Rays, “And what do you suggest we do, Kaiser?”
“I believe we are up a creek without a with these young men,” The doctor said, “Maybe it is time to begin t
Blue Ocean Prologue"Prince Alex, your brother, Triton, is giving a speech. Will you honor him by attending?" Alex distantly turned his head, detached from the world.Blue Ocean Prologue by IrishPandaPrincess94
["He was murdered, Alex"] The sudden loss of King Orion was a huge shock to the entire underwater world, especially since assassination by a member of the Atlantian Royal Family was suspected. The only one to gain from this sudden death would be the youngest member of the immediate Royal Lineage, Triton.
"No, Needa, I can't. I can't attend a murderer's speech." The only reason Alex can stop Triton from gaining the throne of Atlantis and ruling over the entire Underwater Realm he would have to find and marry the lost Princess of Mercelion. But she's been missing for the better part of fifteen years. How the hell would he be able to find her? The Guardians of the Sea couldn't even find her, even if they have the Gift of Foresight.

Chapter 39: Reunion
“Ok, if you can please sign this for me?” Adam said as he held out his clipboard for the manager of the Claws & Hammers restaurant, having made the last delivery of live crabs on the first two hours of the day.
“Thank you,” He said as he signed for them, and gave Adam a $5 tip.
“Thank YOU sir, and have a nice day.” Adam tipped his cap to him, climbed back into his cart, and drove back along the dock. He parked the small vehicle along with the other carts, and hopped off. He sighed as he took off his cap to loosen up his hair, before putting it back on. Break time – he’s going to hit the dock for a quick catch for his break before getting back to work.
He walked along the Fish House, when he heard the Captain ranting, “Uh-oh…” He muttered, “Whose in trouble now.” He mumbled.
“Look, I ain’t turning over any of my Fishboys to some fancy-suit flunkies, ya got it?”

Chapter 38: Final Tactic
Daniel inserted his key to unlock the apartment and opened the door, with his other hand carrying in several bulging bags of groceries. Once the door is opened, he takes the other bags to balance out the weight. He walks into the kitchenette, when he spots Jacob on the couch.
“Oh hey, Jakey!” He said, “This is rare, you home before me. What, is the lab quarantined or something?” He scratched his brown hair from an itch before picking up the Double Stuf Oreos from one of the bags.
“I’m glad you’re home,” Daniel continued as he put the bags onto the kitchen counter, “I swear, even on my days off, I’m always busy. Went to the dentist, I barely made it to the blood center on time, went by Payless for some new shoes, and a bunch of other stuff you’re probably not gonna remember,” He chattered as he quickly tucked the groceries away, “So I picked up your
